Amazon

Leroy is currently a Sr. Manager at Amazon where he is working to deploy the largest electric vehicle fleet in the U.S. After successfully standing up the first EV sites for AMZN’s Western U.S. delivery stations, Leroy now focuses on optimizing costs through energy management initiatives. With over 20 years of experience in the electricity industry, Leroy has had the opportunity to view the industry through multiple lenses: as a traditional regulated utility, competitive retail and organized wholesale market supplier, a hyperscale datacenter customer, and now as a national account customer. He considers himself lucky to be working within this time of convergence within the electricity space. Leroy lives in Sammamish with his wife and two dogs and enjoys watching his son compete in collegiate golf tournaments.

    1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

    On-Site Renewables & EV Charging

Buildings are changing as they meet the challenge of net zero carbon emissions. Some buildings are positioned to deploy solar arrays and most buildings are and will be adapting to a vehicle fleet that is increasingly electric – and needing to be charged while parked. This session will explore case studies of building owners who are embracing these changes and how smart technologies are helping them with the transition including the huge challenge of integrating EV charging and what it means for electrical service size for electrical and grid-interactive capabilities.
